Data Entry Volunteer needed for the Wiltshire and Swindon Biological Records Centre.

If you are computer literate and have accurate data validation and entry skills you might like to assist with entering some of the many and varied species records that are received by the WSBRC office. Presently we are tackling a large batch of Wiltshire bird sightings, so a particular interest in this group would be useful, but not essential.

Head of Environmental Policy and Information

  • Interview: 22 Sep 2010

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the Trust by joining our five person leadership team to ensure that our work is underpinned by a sound science and evidence base. The role has been newly created to help us implement the Strategic Plan 2010-2015, as well as taking collective responsibility for the management of the Trust as a whole.
The Strategic Plan has identified climate change as the biggest threat to the natural world and you will lead a team to measure the impacts of this and use this evidence base to underpin all of our conservation work. This will include developing and enhancing the work of our biological records centre with greater emphasis given to data analysis, evaluation and interpretation. This evidence base will be used to ensure we meet our objectives for managing our own land and you will be actively involved in our Living Landscapes programme and the new framework for delivering priority habitats and species in a Wiltshire context.
